For patent application, you better go to a patents attorneys' office. In Calcutta and DElhi, there is Davar & Co. But there are several others. He will guide you how to make your application with proper claims of your invention. He will also tell you if any sketches, attachments hv to be made etc. The patent office fees are not too high, but attorney has to charge his fees. Dharam

i am involved in patenting from my company and what ever info i could get i am putting here for your benefit. a. You have contact a patent attorney, these are professional people who helps in drafting specifications, filing provisional and final applications , follow through the whole process of scrutiny and examination by the patent office and once approved helps to submit renewal fees etc. regularly. b. cost: two components 1. patent office fees etc. 2. Patent attorney's fees From this year the fees are increased almost 2-3 fold. After GATT and TRIPS it may go still further today approx Rs 15000/patent c. To get a patent in india still takes 4-5 years compared to 22 months in usa. but hopefully things will change once the new patent laws are enforced. you may contact me privately if you need to know more. Hope that helps, Arup -- Arup Bhanja, Calcutta,INDIA.

He, I believe, is from the same alumni. i. e., Remfry & Sagar, while it was still Remfry & Son. > But there are several others. :-) sure there are! > He will guide you how to make your application with proper claims of your > invention.
