Electronic Diary

dear friends, i have been planning to buy an electronic diary for a long time, but was sceptical about the price to pay (Rs. 1800 approx. when compared to Rs. 20-40 for our normal tel-diary). but i happened to see one about a month ago and was really impressed by its power and features. also, last week i almost misplaced my tel-diary. this made me sit up and reconsider the option of an electronic-diary seriously. anybody who has to already been using them - could you please tell me what features to look for when buying one ? how much memory ? which brand ? your experiences, any problems faced etc. thanks in advance, pravin.

The main feature you should be looking for is "backup". It should allow you to backup the files to a PC. And the standard features like search etc are obviously needed. Features like syncing with popular tools like Microsoft Outlook, SideKick is useful.

I have been using the Casio Digital Diary for the past 15~17 years and still have the old 32 Kb diary which is serving my purpose though I have a later model having 64 Kb. I think Casio is the best bet for a digital diary and if you are using it only for your Telephone numbers then I feel you can go for 32 Kb memory or at the most 64 Kb memory - dont look for too many features as it gets confusing and practically no one uses all the features.
