Constitutional Validity?

Hi all By now all of you know of the **one** magic vote which tilted the balance against the government. The *one* vote, some people count the vote the Mr Gamango, Orissa CM, who was asked to vote according to conscience by the speaker Mr Bala Yogi. My question for discussion especially input from constitutional experts on the list is the validity of the decision of the speaker. Is the speaker right in allowing the vote of Mr Gomango? Is it within the framework of constitution to allow a member who is a state level executive to continue to operate as a member of parliament? any feedbck welcome.. And yes predictions about future PM also welcome given the complications which are far too complicated to be ironed out to form a healthy constructive combination as opposed to the destructive combination which they could barely form to bring the govt out by one vote? Is it going to be Sonia? Will mulayam allow soniya? Will TMC support a govt with AIADMK? Will Paswan work alongside Laloo? A great many questions too.. anyway coming few days really promise to be interesting and it is one of the few times when the president has to really act with a lot of judiciousness and prudence. -Srinivas Padmanabhuni 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Web Architect http://www.samilan.com - Home of SAIR, biggest search engine for India http://www.indianmythology.com - A budding site on Indian Mythology http://topsites.indianet.org - India Top 200 sites 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
