I am a subscribe or MTNL, and frankly am not at all satisfied. I have had a problem sending mails and have called up their helpdesk several times in the past weeek, but to no effect yet. Further, it has operations only in Mumbai and Delhi. Soif you're in some other town, you cannot log in. To top it all, VSNL now offers 80% discount on renewals. Which means you just pay 500 more than MTNL, and that too only once, for a countrywide access, cheaper renewals (2400/- vs. 2500/- for 100hrs), shell login, and a great helpdesk. AS per my experience with both the ISPs, VSNL wins hands down. Hemant

Hi Hemant, You wrote: [snip] >To top it all, VSNL now offers 80% discount on renewals. 80% discount???? That makes it Rs. 2,400 (80% of 3,000) off so it would be Rs. 600 to renew 100 hrs.???? >Which >means you just pay 500 more than MTNL, and that too only once, >for a countrywide access, cheaper renewals (2400/- vs. 2500/- >for 100hrs), shell login, and a great helpdesk. Please, can you explain the math here? regards, Arup

This is a saying in Hindi - a muhawara. Kaana means a person who has one eye. Hence, the saying means, that in a land of blind man, if one has even one eye, one will be king. Or the better (but still not a good one) choice amongst lousy ones.
