Pakistan torture
11th June 1999 neeraj chaturvedi @hotmail.com
hi all, Are pakistanis human beings????? I am personaly disturbed after reading the details of torture. Pakistan should be declared as "BARBARIC" and "SAVAGE" state (Instead of terrorrist state). And whats the point in talking to their foreign minister. In protest to these tortures, India should have called off the meeting. The pictures of all our tortured soldiers should be published/distributed internationally to isolate pakistan. neeraj

Neeraj, This is a political game beyond our understanding. These things will continue to happen and on top of it, our defence minister will go out all the way to defend Pakistani Prime Minister. I don't know whether I am write or wrong but I believe if our government asks our Air Force to do cluster bombing there and evacuate the region, I believe we can see an end to this problem. BUT!!!!!! After doing it I will have no milage for elections. I am ready to sacrifice the soldiers of my country to win elections. No big deal. And believe me there are people who are staunch supporters of this incompetent government. Naresh

we should talk to their officers. we must keep all diplomatic channels open. only in the fear that no war erupts at this crucial stage. with all actions made by the pakistani army, it seems inevitable that it might lead to war. something which nobody would want. the consequence that will be far more barbaric and terrifying that 6 soldiers lost recently. we, all youngster must prepare or be prepare for the inevitable. i only pray that he have more youngsters like the 6 who died giving their lives for their country. sumeet

Dear Neeraj I fully concur with you views that torture and mutilation of our soldiers is a "Barbaric" act. Pakistan must be branded as a "BARBARIC" and "SAVAGE" and if I may a add; a "ROUGE" state instead of getting away with just a terrorist label. We must unite to defeat this savage foe. It is time for us to support our armed forces. Oops...Are there still people like you in India????What a strange thought. Rather than concentrating its energy for the election campaign, Vajpayee is focusing all his energy to the Kargil problem...And you think its an election stunt???Strange. War is not something to be made an election propaganda...there are other very good things BJP can focus if it want to win the election. But not definitely this. Regarding the cluster bomb....It is your ignorance that made you believe that it is so easy to wipe them out with these cluster bombs...

naresh, well ... I do agree with you... that government is not doing right... but r u suggesting ... that congress lead by Mrs Sonia Gandhi can do better than this.... I my opinion...if current government is "INCOMPETENT" ... congress is "IMPOTENT" ... I prefer incompetent ...than impotent... OR r u suggesting third front led by Lalloo or Mulayam can do better than vajpayee....in this matter..... And one more thing ... do u believe that that congress and other parties are not trying to take POLITICAL MILAGE out of this crisis... why to blame current government only .... Well.... in short...Its just congress culture ... BJP is nothing more than CONGRESS CULTURED PARTY.... Lets finish congress party first then.... we should try to remove congress culture... regards neeraj

hi sumeet, What I suggested was well thought strategy... See ... If pakistan wants to convert this situation in WAR ... its very easy for them ... but they are scared in same way as we are... they r no fools (at least not as much as we are) ...that they will attack a nuclear power... Their strategy is very clear ... make kashmir as international issue ... (may god forgive great Mr Nehru) ... so they just want to show that see!!! all this happening bcos of kashmir.... I will tell you one thing very frankly... till now whatever talk and bus journey is taking place... its just a pretence...a show... to muster diplomatic international support for the country... they first do infiltration and then send their foreign minister.... do u feel they r serious ???? Its just part of same strategy... What we need ... is not to play on their tune.... We could have used this "TORTURE" to muster international support.... being in overseas .... I can see on international TV that .... every news has details of Pakistan foreign ministers visit.... If we had called off the meeting .... publishing the details / photographs of out soldires....... It would have come in the news all over the world....bcos of pakistan's savage behaviour meeting was called off... I am dead sure Mr Sartaj is not here to avoid any WAR... but he is her e as just a part of preplanned game!!!!!!!!! we should not act in their play.... we should have our own DRAMA (Diploamtic effort) rgds neeraj

What do you say? Vajpayee and his party are concentrating on Kargil. Yes they are concentrating on Kargil to defend Pakistanis. I agree with you. Regarding other things don't you these people are the same who don't care about Indian people just becuase of their political reason. Have you forgotten the much hyped Rath Yatra of Advani to fool people for election gains. The people who died on Dec. 6, were Indians only. Do you have any idea how many big leaders were hurt in the same. None. Think twice before you deliberate anything. Regards, Naresh

Dear Neeraj, When I used the word incompetent, believe me I wanted to use the word Impotent which you have suggested. But it should be used for the cureent government not for any other party. If you can recall George Fernandes's words absolving Pakistani Prime Minister of all the charges then you must not be using the same words. After that the Defence Minister is no where on the scene. Could you believe it? Defence Minister is out of the scene when there is a war like situation. It is under the suitable government that you are able to get 99000 pakistani soldiers to surrender. Regarding finishing off the Congress, you are one of the many with such a dream for a long time but every time congress comes back with more punch. If sonia gandhi is Italian Advani is Pakistani, we would prefer an Italian to Pakistani, that is for sure. Regards, Naresh

hi neeraj chaturvedi > hi sumeet, > What I suggested was well thought strategy... by a caretaker government??? > Their strategy is very clear ... make kashmir as international issue ... it is already. so i assam, punjab, etc. > journey is taking place... its just a pretence...a show... to muster all diplomacy is show. all talk but no fire. > infiltration and then send their foreign minister.... do u feel they r > serious ???? Its just part of same strategy... maybe they have no choice. maybe the government does not know what the army is doing and the army does not know what the government wants. i think the army (pakistan) and the government are two different bodies acting independent of each other and in their own directions.. left and right. and both do not know what the other is doing. maybe the government want to undo what the army wanted. god alone knows. but to make things work we have to put our demands to them. > What we need ... is not to play on their tune.... We could have used this > "TORTURE" to muster international support.... aren't we doing it already. we are the best 'criers' in the world. > If we had called off the meeting .... publishing the details / photographs > of out soldires....... It would have come in the news all over the > world....bcos of pakistan's savage behaviour meeting was called off... lost cause. > I am dead sure Mr Sartaj is not here to avoid any WAR... but he is her e as > just a part of preplanned game!!!!!!!!! we should not act in their play.... isn't every thing a pre planned game? we are already acting in their play. we have the main role. > > > all our tortured soldiers should be published/distributed > >internationally to > > > isolate pakistan. do u think people will isolate pakistan because of the 6 soldiers. huh? or for that matter anything in india? the only strengths we have, is not in crying our woes or sorrows or torture around the whole world but in the army, navy and air force. let us rejuvenate and build a more powerful army, airforce, and navy. it was a relief to see certain lot of people donating one day salary to the army and i think for the 6 soldiers. i could not get the exact details. and also that the government is pumping more money into the army. sumeet

hi naresh, I didnt praise BJP anytime ... I said BJP is just Congress Cultured Party ... whatever it is doing, it has learnt it from congress, may be it is now ahead of congress in congress theatrics. Have you forgotten, how many people were killed during partition of our nation. Do you remember, how country was devided for someone's personal ambition. Do you remember how our army won the war agains pakistan and we lost it on POLITICAL TABLE for someone's personal ambition of international leadership. Do you remeber, who created the punjab problem and who shared the dice with Mr Bhindarwale. Do you remember who were responsible for 1984 Anti sikh riots in which hundreds of sikhs wer killed . Do you remember who sent our army to SriLanka in which our hundres of army officers killed ???? List is endless!!! If you trying to prove that "BJP" is bad party ... its fine ... no objections .... But are you trying to prove that Congress is "Dhrmatma" and it believes in high moral values?.... sorry no one will believe you in this era of high political corruption. And congress is mother of all corruptions. rgds neeraj

I am not a supporter of BJP or Congress. But one comment a friend made after coming from Bombay was interesting. He said " Mr. Vajpaee didn't go for a ride in the bus but the Pakis took him for a ride" Joseph.
