Internet access via the Cable TV network

Hello All,
I saw a write up in the net that some ISP's in Pune are providing
internet access through their cable TV net work.
Could someone from Pune please respond to this? Are such access
commercially available in any other location(s) in the country?

There was talk and advertisements about cable connections but nothing has
materialized as yet

hello!
there is a cable operator providing these services in Noida, near New Delhi
the guy is Ark Communications
he is working with ER&DCI, Noida.
i live in noida..charges are 20,000 for cable modem
1000 Rs installation charges...
500 per machine for domestice usage
1000 per machine for commercial usage.

Yes RPG in Calcutta were also planning the same. However our cable TV
provider took a survey and found that in our locality with 400+ cable TV
subsribers only half a dozen people had internet access. I think they have
postponed the project.
