A graduate student at the University of Massachusetts has built the
world's
smallest Web-server - not much bigger than a match-head and costing
under
$1 to build. Hariharasubrahmanian Shrikumar built it in his spare time,
using parts bought at an electronics store. It went online on July 14,
and has served 45,000 Web pages to 6,000 users from 56 countries.
